The Journey | Believe You Can Get There

by Kate on October 5, 2009

Kate-Saunders-Blog-BouldersIf you’ve read the two prior posts, Explore Your Best Possible Life and Continuing Your Best Life Journey, then you know that I advocate and believe with absolute certainty that the life you desire can be yours.

It’s rarely an easy journey to get there, and certainly not the road most traveled, but there is a road.  A road that to a large degree is designed by our choices as adults.  Whether or not we make it directly correlates with our commitment to getting there.

That’s not to say that it’s an easy road, or that things won’t come along that slow us down with obstacles that can seem insurmountable.   But I want you to know that there is a road just for you, and I believe with all my heart it can lead you to where you most want to be.

If you choose to look at everything in life as an opportunity to learn and grow…if you seek to find answers and direction, and yes even wisdom, it will find you.  It is there.  If we believe, and if we have faith, we will find it.

Now that’s not to say that once we feel like we’re on the right path, it’s done.  I think every road leads to another, and the journey doesn’t end.  With that said, I’m finding that I can better identify the road that’s for me and I clearly know when I’m on it.

I’m finding it by –

Listening | Reading and Learning | Connecting with others | Honoring my Intuition | Opening my Eyes and Heart | Paying Attention to what Resonates | Honesty with myself and others | Gratitude and Thankfulness | Tenacity | Feeling | Silence | Nature | FAITH …  and so much more.

My road has been a crooked one at times, and most certainly rocky (thus the picture).  There’s no doubt there will be more of that along the way.   But the key for me is that I am a Seeker.   I never gave up, even when I knew I wasn’t quite there and really didn’t even know what it would look like when I was, and even when others criticized me for continuing to seek.

I’m still not there!  =)   But I’m on the right path, and it’s the most incredible feeling, and completely astonishing to see so many things aligning in my life.  I am thankful.

Whatever your path, goals or dreams  —> BELIEVE.   Look at everything as an opportunity to learn, stretch and grow, and find support along the way.  Find people that inspire and support you.  It makes the journey so much sweeter.

As Chris Gardner says in his new book, “Start Where You Are“.  http://www.chrisgardnermedia.com/  You CAN get from where you are to where you want to be.  Never, ever give up.

beautiful post. Incredibly insightful, and I am truly humbled. We are all in this together, and it is unfortunate so many struggle in opposition when harmony is our natural condition, our resonance.

I am proud to call you friend, Kate, thank you :)

You are wonderful, beautiful, & gifted.

Kate…I am honoured by your kind thoughts and am delighted that we have connected your enthusiasm and ‘zest’ are a joy and I look forward to continuing this path with you. You raise some illuminating points in your post – If we study the lives of people who
have left immortal effects in history, people of so called ‘greatness’ who have made major impacts and paradigm shifts in the world, in all fields. No matter which field they chose to master, these great ‘geniuses’ displayed certain common character traits. They all trusted their inner vision and voice, which helped them see and hear what others seemed to pass by. They were confronted along their path by tremendous challenges, which they overcame through determination.

And many followed the guidelines you have outlined above, as I say it is an honour to be on this path with you.

    Much love

    Colin

Thank you. I appreciate the kinship we share.
    Kate
