The book of Proverbs says that “as a man thinks in his heart – so is he.”
Bruce Lipton, Ph.D., author of The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles, very powerfully and yet simply presents information in this book that will forever change how you think about your own thinking.
There are stunning new scientific discoveries about the energy our thoughts transmit, and they show that all the cells of your body are affected by your thoughts. His book and explanation of Epigenetics revolutionized my understanding of the link between mind and matter. It’s a fascinating read – and even more fascinating to begin to truly grasp the difference our intentional thought…affirmations…meditations can make in our lives, business and level of success.
I don’t agree with everything Dr. Lipton asserts in his book, however, I will tell you that this book changed my thinking and I will never underestimate the power of thoughts and the energy that is released when a thought is accompanied by a strong emotion. When something resonates with you – you are attracted to it. Often, if you are open to it, you’ll begin to see many people and things that relate to this strong attraction appearing in your life. We usually think of this as coincidence. After reading his book, I believe it’s more than that.
To summarize, what I took from his book and what it means to me could be something entirely different from what you might take from it. With that said, it’s difficult to ignore the evidence that’s mounting around the “Law of Attraction” principles, Epigenticis, and the energy that our thoughts carry with them.
We are most open to our subconscious mind when we first wake, and right before bed. As an experiment, write down 5 statements that reflect what you want in your life. Write them in the present as if they were already true. An example for a dieter might be, “I am lean and healthy, and I eat foods that nourish and provide life and health to my body.” The statements can all relate to the same thing, or different things, whether it relates to your health, relationships, business, diet, prosperity, etc., anything is fair game.
Commit to reading them daily, first thing in the morning and again just before you shut your light out at night. Allow the feelings of joy, happiness, peace, excitement, contentment, wellness, etc. to accompany those statements – whatever you might feel as you realize these in your life.
